About Us
MISSION
East New York Prep addresses the specific needs and challenges of children in East New York to ensure students achieve or exceed grade-level mastery of academic content, knowledge and skills. We provide a rigorous and NYS Standards aligned curriculum, disciplined environment, and supportive community, where our students are academically and socially prepared to excel in demanding college preparatory high schools.
VISION
Elementary school is the bedrock upon which all further education rests. We envision a high-performing, achievement-oriented environment where children in grade K - 8 learn, master, and eventually apply foundational skills in a sequence that logically builds from the most basic elementary content to increasingly higher-order conceptual thinking.
From this vision comes East New York Prep.
Literacy and numeracy are critical for lifelong success. As the core building blocks upon which all future education rests, the ability to read fluently, write effectively, compute accurately, and speak persuasively form the foundation of all academic disciplines. We believe that building a strong foundation of content knowledge and skills ensures our students will be prepared to excel in all future pursuits. Our job then is to lay that foundation.
